Sous Chef

About Lot Six Brewery: Have you ever thought of leaving your current gig to live, work, and play in the heart of the Green Mountains? Lot Six Brewing is looking for a sous chef to join their team. Located in Jeffersonville, VT, Lot Six is a brand new craft brewery and eatery offering beer, cocktails, and elevated pub fare in a historic ski bar, nestled in the foothills of iconic Smugglers’ Notch.

Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 2 years of experience working in professional kitchens

  • Excellent communication skills

  • An innate sense of urgency

  • A belief in always doing your best

Responsibilities:

  • Work in conjunction with the executive chef to help prep the menu

  • Train the kitchen staff to deliver consistently excellent food

  • Comply with quality standards, rules, and procedures

  • Maintain a sanitary work area and follow all health regulations

  • Display a commitment to delivering excellent service

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the executive chef

Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a professional kitchen

  • Professional communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to take and give direction

  • Ability to work quickly and remain calm under pressure

  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Compensation:

  • $25-$29 per hour based on previous experience

  • 2 weeks paid sick time

  • Ski pass
